Gillian Jones Williams

Gillian's book is ‘Locked Down But Not Out: A COVID-19 Diary’. The book is a diary of events that happened during the first part of lockdown from March to September last year, and how Gillian struggled to save her business and her sanity. Every moment of every day was captured. It covers monumental moments through the pandemic in the UK such as: the decisions the government made, the clapping at our doorways in support of the NHS, Captain Sir Tom Moore completing his 100 garden laps and Gillian’s perception of the daily news bulletins, Government announcements and even her love-hate relationship with Piers Morgan. All proceeds from the book go to the The Healthcare Workers Foundation commented: “The Healthcare Workers' Foundation was set up by NHS workers for NHS workers with a mission to support their welfare and wellbeing UK wide. Donations to the Families Programme will provide bereavement counselling, respite opportunities, tutoring and mentoring support as well as assistance with probate.”
