Lisa Davies Art

My name is Lisa Davies and I am an artist with my own range of gift products, prints and greetings cards, all of which I make myself in my studio/workshop in Surrey. I have always been very passionate about painting and drawing from a very young age. I studied illustration for 5 years in total, gaining a HND in wildlife illustration from Dyfed college of art and then a BA Hons in illustration from Plymouth university. I then gained a PGCE in art education from Goldsmiths University in London. As well as making gift products from my original pieces, I also sell my original work and have been fortunate enough to sell many of my original pieces across the UK and internationally, particularly to the States.. I have also exhibited my work in various exhibitions including, the International Contemporary Art exhibition, Kings Rd, Chelsea, London and The Reading & Sandown Park Contemporary Art fairs. I love working in many mediums....acrylics and mixed media, being my favourites. I love creating fun, happy, bright, colourful, work with a strong narrative, that brings a smile to your face every time you look at it. I enjoy taking inspiration from the everyday things in life...the simple pleasures.......the first time you put your washing on the line in the spring.....a cat sleeping in the flower bed....and there is always something else to discover in each piece. I also love being able to print my original art work on to various gift products myself too, as this gives me full control over the quality and finish of each product I make and sell. This is very important to me as I always want my customers to be totally happy with their purchase. I am so fortunate to be doing what I love for a living and I still get such a thrill when one of my pieces or products is sold.
